Beginning Basics - Saturday mornings at 10:45 a.m.

Suitable for students beginning their practice, or those wanting to slow down and review the fundamentals of yoga. The slow pace with increased holdings allows students to release stress and "let go" as they deepen their understanding of the postures. Suitable for all levels. Sometimes we all need to slow down and go within.

Basics - Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m.
 
This class explores the “basics” of vinyasa (breath linked flowing movement). Students will develop strength and flexibility. Basic classes include standing postures, introduction to inversions (Downward facing dog is an inversion!), seated postures, backbends and twists, and of course, meditation. Basics classes offer the “basic foundation” poses for  open level Jivamukti classes. Suitable for all levels.

Open Level Jivamukti® - Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m.

Jivamukti® is a challenging vinyasa based yoga interlaced with spiritual teachings, bhakti (love of God), ahimsa (non-injury to all) , and inspiring music. Jivamukti is often cited as the “wild child” of yoga using contemporary music, delivering a message of social consciousness, and challenging yoga postures. Inversions practiced may include forearm balance, handstand, and shoulderstand variations. Options and modifications are also given -- hence the name, "Open Level."  For more information about Jivamukti yoga, visit www.jivamuktiyoga.com. Suitable for students with a regular practice who are seeking transformation and enjoy being challenged.  90 minutes. Physically fit students with a natural curiosity and a sense of adventure are happy starting their yoga practice here.

Sudevi´s yoga classes offer the flowing dance of vinyasa and challenging Jivamukti yoga. She artfully weaves teachings with poetry, pranayama, chanting, and a progression of asanas into a spiritual tapestry culminating in meditation. Sudevi also adopts yoga to individual student´s needs one-on-one in private sessions and is experienced in working with students therapeutically and designing personal rehabilitation programs. Sudevi is also adept at offering restorative classes, yoga nidra, and meditation classes.
