Students should be comfortable with Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutes).This class explores the basics of vinyasa (breath linked flowing movement. Students will develop strength and flexibility as they are challenged with longer holding, and quicker execution of movement. Basic classes include standing postures, introduction to inversions, seating postures, backbends and twists, and of course, meditation. Basics classes offer the basic foundation poses for vinyasa and open level Jivamukti classes. Suitable for all levels except early beginners.75 minutes.

Jivamukti is a challenging vinyasa based yoga interlaced with spiritual teachings, bhakti, ahimsa, and inspiring music. Jivamukti is often cited as the wild child of yoga using contemporary music, delivering a message of social consciousness, and challenging yoga postures. Inversions practiced may include forearm balance, and handstand for a minimum of a 10 breath count, and shoulder stand variations for a minimum of a 75 breath count, and headstand for a 60 breath count.
